The Pat Knight Tournament
    The Pat Knight 11-12 Baseball Tournament is named in honor of local sports legend Pat Knight, who was the founder of Dover Little League in 1955 and served as District Administrator for Delaware District 1 until 1985. Pat for years served as Wesley College’s Sports Information Director. He was inducted to the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame in 1981 and the Delaware Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985. He was considered the guiding hand of Little League Baseball in Delaware.


The Lynn Deakins Tournament
The Lynn Deakins 11-12 Softball Tournament is named in honor of Lynn Deakins, who was the served as the second District Administrator for Delaware District 1 until 2003. Lynn had served as the President of Camden-Wyoming Little League for a many years. She was an active volunteer with the Red Cross. Under her leadership the softball program was expanded, District 1 began hosting the Big League Regional Tournament and District 3 was formed. Lynn was inducted into the Delaware Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.

The Deak Deakins Tournament
The Ceil “Deak” Deakins 8-9 Baseball Tournament is named in honor of Deak Deakins, who was the driving force behind the creation of the Special Game Tournaments that are held yearly in Delaware District 1. Deak felt that those players who were not eligible or selected to the “All Stars” should have the opportunity to play additional games and experience a tournament. Deak had been an active member of the Camden-Wyoming Little League for a many years and when Lynn his wife became District Administrator he continued his support of Little League as a Tournament Director and with the special game tournaments.

The Walt Bowers Tournament
The Walt Bowers 10-11 Baseball Tournament is named in honor of Walt Bowers, who has volunteer in the Dover Little League of over 50 years. He has serve in many areas including as a manager, coach, scorekeeper and Board member. His support for Little League has touched more than the players of Dover. Walt each year lends his scorekeeping abilities to any Tournament being held in Dover. From the special game tournaments to the Big League East Regional. His dedicated efforts are a shining example of what being a volunteer means in Little League.
